About

Pak-China Sust Port Company Private Limited is a joint venture company between Sinotrans and Silk Route Dry Port Trust. The port is constructed at a height of 9300 feet above sea level and is at the distance of approximately 850 km from the federal capital, Islamabad, and at the brink of Karakorum Highway (KKH). The Port links the rich industrial provinces of Kasghar and Sinkyang via the Northern Areas to the commercial markets of Pakistan. This Port is the first dry port which not only links the two friendly countries but has also opened new opportunities of cross border trade between Pakistan and China. The dry port has opened new vistas for the development of industrial growth and will have far reaching effects on the economy of the Northern Areas. It is the first formal dry port linking the two friendly countries through a land route for the facilitation of cross border trade. It will prove to be an important step in strengthening the economy of both countries as well as playing a pivotal role in the development of the Northern Areas.
